Quality matters most when deciding on any type of child care. Look for a welcoming, nurturing environment where children can have fun and be safe. Take your time, do your homework and ask a lot of questions until you find the right situation.
It is most important to find caregivers who make you feel comfortable, are trustworthy, and provide quality care.

CHILD CARE ENHANCEMENT PROGRAM
Concerned about an infant or toddler in your care?
CCEP can help you understand the social-emotional needs of infants and toddlers within your care, to prevent little concerns from becoming bigger ones. Readiness for kindergarten begins with formation of secure relationships, self-regulation, awareness and expression of emotions, and active exploration of the environment....from birth to three.
CCEP serves infants and toddlers from birth to 36 months who receive--or are eligible for--the DHS Child Care Subsidy, in either formal or informal care in Macomb and Oakland Counties. Child & family-centered mental health consultation through phone calls, e-mails, or in-person consultation. Services provided to center-based, family home, group home, relative or aide providers.
